North Cliff Consultants, Inc., a consumer product testing company, is looking for a candidate with a strong science research background for the position of Director of Clinical Studies. The position entails overall responsibility for the non-pharmaceutical clinical research studies conducted at North Cliff Consultants for cosmetic, personal care and other consumer goods companies.

The Director’s responsibilities include development of strong relationships with clients, assuring study protocols meet client objectives, and delivery of accurate results in a timely manner. Leading a team of dedicated study managers, coordinators and technicians, the Director develops study budgets and manages costs, oversees study execution, and presents results in a written report. This person acts as Principal Investigator for research studies in compliance with government regulations, including submission of protocols to IRBs for review and assurance that all study personnel are appropriately trained and qualified. In addition, the Director is a member of the Senior Management Team, with responsibilities for the overall direction of the company.

Applicants must have graduate level education, or a Bachelor’s degree with highly relevant experience. Academic and/or industry experience in areas of clinical research, cosmetic science, nursing or other health-related fields are preferred. Skills required for a successful candidate include demonstrated leadership, strong communication skills and evidence of problem solving abilities.

Quality Assurance Reviewer

Job Description:

North Cliff Consultants, Inc. is a consumer product testing company.  We test cosmetics, personal care products, and over-the-counter drugs with human research subjects for a wide variety of client companies.

Part-Time, Flexible Position

Average 15-20 hours per week, but hours vary from week to week.

Primary Responsibilities

The QA Reviewer provides an independent review of ongoing clinical study procedures, study records and study reports to assure compliance with GCPs, ICH guidelines, North Cliff SOPs, and study protocol.


Monitor study in progress:

Observe study procedures and review study binder
Keep written record of monitor activities and findings
Review findings with Clinical Study Coordinator and/or Investigator

  • Review study data, documentation and reports for compliance
  • Keep written record of review findings
  • Communicate findings to Clinical Study Coordinator, Report Writer, and Principal Investigator
  • Submit final report of review findings and discussions
  • Assist with annual review of Clinical SOPs
  • Continue education in regulatory issues


Skills needed:

Excellent written communication skills

Excellent attention to detail

Training in Good Clinical Practices (GCPs), human research subject protection and/or clinical research regulatory issues

Experience in QA/QC and/or clinical research

    • Interview panelists to ensure their eligibility to participate in various studies.

Title:   Consumer Research Study Technician

Primary Responsibilities

– Provide professional interactions with our panelists in collecting accurate data and feedback for our clients by following research protocol with great attention to detail.  This is a flexible, part time position that offers a competitive hourly rate of pay and an annual bonus opportunity.
